About this site

How this site is made

PIYOTASO (hiyokoyarou.com) is a Japanese website where Hiyoko Tencho shares laid-back, cute illustrations and icons that anyone can use for free. This English site shows the same illustrations, with the titles, Hiyoko Tencho's comments and the tags translated from Japanese into English by AI (Claude, made by Anthropic).

When a new illustration is posted on the Japanese site, it is translated and added here within about a day. Illustrations that haven't been translated yet appear only on the Japanese site.

Translations may contain mistakes

We ask the AI to keep Hiyoko Tencho's relaxed, playful tone, so some lines are translated freely rather than word for word. Not every translation is checked by a person, so some may be wrong or sound a little odd. If something seems strange, please see the original Japanese page using the “View this illustration on the Japanese site” link on each illustration page.

The Japanese version is official

The Terms of Use, Credit Line, FAQ and Privacy Policy on this site are AI translations provided for reference. The Japanese versions are the official ones, and if the two differ, the Japanese version takes precedence.
