Before using PIYOTASO illustrations, please read through the Terms of Use~.

By downloading an illustration, you are deemed to have agreed to the Terms of Use (there is no button or anything like that for agreeing to the terms).

Personal use: Basically anything goes!
Icons for Twitter (X), LINE, Instagram, YouTube and so on, smartphone wallpapers, accents for blogs and websites, kids' drawing play, and more..
You can use them for anything with no credit required, use as many as you like, and it's all free! Feel free to use them however you like! (As long as it doesn't go against public order and morals, please.)

Commercial use: Use them anywhere, as many as you like!
Commercial use and using edited versions of the illustrations are OK!
No credit is required either, and it's fine to use as many as you like.
They often get used in ads, in-store POP displays and presentation slides.

This Is OK♪

• Using the illustrations as they are, or edited, on a personal blog or company website (of course it's OK)
• Using them as a profile picture on social media like Twitter (X) or LINE (lots of people do!)
• Editing the illustrations to make banner ads, documents, flyers, etc. (go for it!)
• Drawing PIYOTASO fan art (that makes us so happy!!)
• Releasing products that use the illustrations! (If you sell them, it's OK as long as you include a credit!)

This Is NOT OK!

• Using images by so-called "hotlinking," where you use them without downloading them first
• Selling products that use PIYOTASO illustrations without a credit
• Redistributing or selling the illustrations
• Copying or tracing the illustrations on this site and claiming them as your own original work
• Uses that seriously damage the image of the characters

So, well, it's pretty much OK whatever you use them for, but we have not given up the copyright to the original illustrations. (It belongs to the site administrator.)
If possible, we'd also like you to refrain from using a PIYOTASO icon and setting your username to "PIYOTASO".

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use them for LINE stickers?

Currently, using the illustrations for LINE stickers is not allowed.

Can I use the illustrations in video content such as YouTube?

Yes. We'd be happy if you used them.

Can I print them on T-shirts and sell them?

If you want to sell products that use PIYOTASO illustrations, we permit the sale as long as you state on the sales page that the product uses illustrations from PIYOTASO, a free illustration site (a credit).

Can I use them to train image-generating AI?

Only for your own personal enjoyment. Please refrain from using them anywhere third parties will see them, such as social media icons or commercial use. When posting the images on social media or elsewhere, please include a credit along with them. (We may loosen or otherwise change this in the future, depending on how laws and regulations around AI develop.)

I'd like to use them in advertising. Is that OK?

Since advertising involves getting paid by a client, it's sometimes thought to count as selling the illustrations, but you can use them without any problem.

Someone is using PIYOTASO illustrations in a way I don't like. Is that allowed?

Using the illustrations in itself is allowed. This site is not involved in any disputes with people using illustrations from this site, so we'd ask that you resolve them between yourselves.

Can I use the illustrations in emotes for Twitch subscribers only?

We also permit using the illustrations in emotes distributed to Twitch or TikTok subscribers or YouTube members.
Since using the emotes costs money, we're often asked whether a credit is required, but it's fine without one.

What's PIYOTASO?

It's a free illustration and icon site with laid-back illustrations drawn casually without thinking too hard and roughly colored in, ya know. (A sister site of the stock-photo site "PAKUTASO")
The drawings are casual, and we plan to run the site in a laid-back way too.
